Description: Awit Para sa Bata #APSBHumabiNgHimig is a songwriting contest for children and young people ages 13 to 24 years old. Awit Para sa Bata aims to promote children’s talents and well-being and provide meaningful participation of children in the AKO PARA SA BATA Conference.

Children composers from Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao submitted their entries. Seven finalists/songs and 13 children composers from Bulacan, Quezon, Zambales, Capiz and Sarangani participated in a workshop facilitated by Teacher Monet Silvestre and National Artist for Music Maestro Ryan Cayabyab. The workshop was held on October 5, 2024 at the College of Mass Communication Auditorium, Plaridel Hall, University of the Philippines, Diliman, Quezon City.

Awit Para Sa Bata #APSBHumabiNgHimig is presented by the Child Protection Network Foundation, UNICEF, and Consuelo Zobel Alger Foundation in partnership with the UP College of Mass Communication and the UP College of Music.
